Trust that we’ll deliver a pain-free and comfortable Invisalign experience from beginning to end. Here’s a step-by-step guide to our typical patient journey to give you an idea of what to expect.
1. Obligation – free consultation
Have a casual, obligation-free chat with one of our professional dentists to see if Invisalign is right for you. Get a brief, non-invasive examination of your teeth and an opportunity to discuss the treatment and options for payment.
ClinCheck® is a patented Invisalign procedure whereby moulds or impressions are taken of your teeth and sent away to our external Invisalign team to create digital moulds. Based on these moulds and input from your dentist, a plan of your treatment will be built using ClinCheck® software.
3. Virtual treatment plan appointment
Your dentist will discuss and show you how your teeth will move at each stage of the treatment using a virtual plan developed by ClinCheck® software.
4. Delivery of your Invisalign braces
You will receive your first set of approved Invisalign braces to straighten your teeth. Generally, there is one aligner for every two weeks of treatment and you must wear them for 20 to 22 hours each day.
To save time, you will receive up to 3 aligners at one time and attend a check-up every six to eight weeks where you will receive your next sets.
6. Tune – ups
For best results, refinements may need to be made as you reach the end of your treatment which may involve receiving extra aligners. Your dentist will talk you through this if required.
A retainer is required to be worn on completion of your treatment to ensure your teeth do not move or become misaligned. A final mould or impression of your teeth is taken for external production and returned back to you after about a week. The retainer looks similar to your Invisalign aligners, but you’ll only be required to wear them while you sleep.
